How to choose a badminton racket

Racket specifications are written for people who already know what they mean. This explains each one in plain language, and shows which rackets in stock carry which value — so you can go from "I want more power" to an actual racket.

Weight class

Lower numbers are heavier. 3U (~88g) hits harder; 5U (~78g) swings faster.

Playing style

Attack rackets favour smashes. Control rackets favour placement and defence.
